AboutWe are disciples and subjects of Yeshua (Jesus) the Messiah of Israel. We ourselves have nothing good to offer God or to the ekklesia of Messiah. We rely on God's grace to save us and to sanctify us, by the redeeming blood of Yeshua our savior. The Lord has blessed us with a large family. We have been on quite a journey since getting married, learning many things and with God's help, trying to apply them to our lives, in service of Him. Quite a number of years ago, the Lord used the NCFIC and affiliates to teach us about the family and about what a healthy church looks like, among other things. This was eye-opening and invaluable. Our family has been profoundly impacted, and the damage averted both today and in future generations is breath-taking. We are so grateful to God for this knowledge. Since then, we've learned many more things, the most significant being that the law of God is good, is for today, and cannot be parsed into sections or categories, but is a unified whole. The Lord God desires for all His servants to embrace His law (Isaiah 56), all of it (as much as is possible to be obeyed today outside of the land of Israel and without a functioning temple in Zion), not part of it, as commonly taught. When the Messiah Yeshua returns, He will reign from Jerusalem and at that time, "the Torah will go forth from Zion; the word of the LORD from Jerusalem." This Torah in that day will be as it was defined when this prophecy was given in the 8th century B.C.E., as is the case with many other prophecies about this future time. To redefine terms in ancient prophecies gives the effect of claiming that the prophecy as given will not come to pass. God does not appreciate this. This is what most segments of the church have done, and it is a travesty. No part of God's Law is "done away in Christ", only the law of sin and death is done away in Christ. Check out Jeremiah 33... are the sun and moon still here? Then Aaron's priesthood, and all of the Torah with it, is still in effect. In order to understand the epistle to the Hebrews and the rest of the apostolic writings, one must immerse oneself in the Scriptures that the first century writers and audiences were so familiar with: the Torah, Prophets, and writings. Only in replicating their worldview and beliefs, can one grasp the meaning of such apostolic texts that are based on these ancient writings. The church, going back to the Church Fathers, practically speaking, does not come close. They developed errant interpretive tradition that has been passed down all the way to you and me, and that tradition then informed the translation of such texts into modern languages. Step #1 in seeking the truth in this area is to read a very literal translation, such as the Darby or YLT (Young's Literal Translation). As you can see, this is a big deal, and it matters much to us. May God be glorified by the purification of Messiah's bride. The identity of the Messiah is a fundamental component of the Faith - non-optional. He that has the Son has life, and he that has not the Son of God has not life. The Torah of Moses is also fundamental. We must continue to reform and not be content with yesterday's reforms. Shalom. |
